ABOUT SCOR REPORTWe originally attempted to do that with The Do-It-Yourself Capitalist, a small booklet which we sold for $15. We no longer charge for it and have put it on this site to be part of the common foundation necessary to build a capital formation strategy with the other material on the site. The most noticeable features of this site are that there is nothing new on it, and we won't try to convince you that raising money is anything but a difficult, time-consuming process. We know that because we have interviewed thousands of entrepreneurs about how they raised money and very few told us it was easy. The ones who said raising money was easy, also said that it took them a lot of time and effort to get prepared to raise money. Back issues and some of the articles in those issues are
available on the Newsletters
Online web site . Who Are We?SCOR Report is Tom Stewart-Gordon’s second venture in publishing. He started his first magazine at the age of 17. It lasted three issues and paid more in fun than it did in money. He spent the next 30 plus years learning his craft as a college student, business and government reporter, freelance writer and magazine editor before deciding to try publishing again. Patricia Stewart-Gordon holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and has been a commercial lender and chief financial officer of several companies. Garrett Vogel, a CPA, was responsible for one of the first successful direct public offerings to register in Texas. John Kenney is an investment advisor and small business consultant, and one of the early supporters of the Small Corporate Offering Registration (SCOR) program. Charles A. Snyder has covered the lawyers and law-makers in Washington, D.C., for a number of years. Stewart-Gordon Associates, Inc. Copyright © 2000 by Stewart-Gordon Associates, Inc., Dallas, Texas,
